Student Achievement Partners grounds our tools for coaching in five foundational pillars aimed at transforming teacher instructional practice to better serve all students. Our vision of high-quality coaching is an approach that:

This vision is rooted in our commitment to make Essential x Equitable (e²) Instruction™ a reality for every student in classrooms everywhere. Through establishing conditions, systems, and structures aligned to the five pillars, the potential of every educator can be realized.

About the Tools

The e² Coaching Tools™ support the development of personalized and intentional growth in classroom practice, leading to improved educational experiences and outcomes for students. The tools aim to humanize the coaching process, transform instructional practice, and amplify student learning. Whether the tools are being used individually or together, they are flexible and adaptable to any context.

The coaching tools are fundamentally connected to the research and evidence-based e² Instructional Practice Framework™, which describes high-quality instructional practice as grade-level, joyful, linguistically sustaining, and culturally responsive-sustaining. These categories are leveraged throughout the coaching tools to support professional learning and growth.

Using the Tools

INTENDED USE:

The tools can be used by teachers, coaches, and leaders in a variety of contexts including self-reflection, coaching, peer coaching, and PLCs.

They are intended to be used within an existing PLC or coaching structure over a period of time for reflection, learning, planning, implementation, and data collection.

While best used together, the tools can also be used on their own if being added to existing coaching structures.
