About
Carey (she/her/hers) is the Literacy Chief Program Officer at Student Achievement Partners, where she works to support educators, partners, and organizations at all levels to draw from the integration of research and practice to effectively support students' literacy development. She holds a B.S. in film from Northwestern University, an M.S. in teaching from Pace University, and an M.Ed. in school leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Experience
Carey has spent close to 25 years in education, working as a school leader and classroom teacher in New York City, and an educational consultant, teacher, and leadership coach before joining SAP. She is passionate about fulfilling the promise of learning that public education offers through better connecting research and practice. Carey lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with her artist husband, two energetic, active, and often entertaining children, and their dog, Darla.
