What I Work On

I am fascinated by the way in which instructional materials and assessments can support educators in the hard and beautiful work of teaching. As a designer, I spend much of my time working with educators and my colleagues to better understand how materials and assessments can center Black students and English learners to be more supportive of teaching and learning.

Why I Work Here

I believe in the power of words to transform lives. I work at SAP because I get to spend my days talking about how English classrooms can be a place for all children to engage with rich literature and express their thinking in order to develop as the beautiful, amazing humans that they are.

My Education and Experience

Prior to joining Student Achievement Partners I worked as a middle and high school teacher in Mississippi and Illinois, as well as a Test Development Specialist for HMH-Riverside. I hold a BA in English from the University of Illinois and a Masters in Reading Science at Mount. St. Joseph University. I am currently pursuing my EdD in reading science, focusing specifically on the needs of middle and high school students.

More About Me

I'm a wife and a mom to three amazing kids. I believe the best days are the ones spent outside.
