What I Work On

As the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications at Student Achievement Partners, I focus on conceptualizing and implementing strategic communication initiatives that amplify best practices and elevate stories of the incredible work happening in the education sector. My role involves careful planning and execution of campaigns that align with our mission to eliminate educational and systemic inequities. I collaborate closely across all departments to ensure our messaging resonates and supports our overall organizational goals.

Why I Work Here

I am deeply committed to the mission of Student Achievement Partners. My passion for addressing educational inequities is rooted in both my personal and professional experiences. I believe that strategic communication is a powerful tool to advocate for systemic change, and I am proud to be part of an organization that prioritizes equity, inclusion, and excellence in education.

My Education and Experience

Prior to joining Student Achievement Partners, I was a strategic communications manager at a collective impact nonprofit where I applied my insights from the classroom to advocate for systemic change. I began my career as an elementary school teacher in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where I taught in both well-resourced and under-resourced schools. These experiences illuminated the impact of systemic inequities on student achievement. My lived experiences as a teacher and student in Title One schools helps me to see myself in the students and teachers in the districts we partner with and fuels my commitment to be an integral part of the movement toward educational equity. Prior to joining Student Achievement Partners, I honed my skills in strategic communication, applying my insights from the classroom to advocate for systemic change.

More About Me

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, traveling, and spending quality time with my husband, Randall, and our children. Whether we’re exploring new places or tending to our garden, I cherish the moments we share and the memories we create together.
